It was a beautiful day in early May. Sara and Michael were FINALLY getting to celebrate their marriage. Like most couples during the pandemic, they had to make the hard decision to postpone their wedding an entire year. And while they were able to have an intimate ceremony on their original wedding date, they truly missed gathering with their loved ones. Now 385 days later, their New Orleans wedding was officially happening!
Sara chose a stunning Stella York mermaid gown that was a dream on her!
Michael and Sara decided to make the most of their time and shared a first look before their ceremony. It was such a sweet moment between the two of them!
First looks are my absolute favorite! They give you a private moment to soak in each other’s presence before your ceremony. The pressure is completely off and you get SO many more photos!
One of my favorite moments during their reception was when Sara’s cousin wanted to join in the happy couple’s first dance. It was SO sweet and left everyone beaming with joy as we all watched.
Sara and her dad started their father-daughter dance off in the traditional way but then threw us all for a loop by mixing it up with choreographed hiphop number!
Sara had another surprise up her sleeve. She’s a dance instructor for the Ryan School of Irish Dance and her students performed such an amazing dance I decided to sign my girls up not long after! Even Michael joined in on the fun.
The night ended with a fun second line around the venue and a sparkler exit amongst their friends and family!
Congratulations again, Sara and Michael! I’m so thankful you trusted me to capture your beautiful night and can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of you!
