Lakeside Baton Rouge Wedding

The world is filled with unknowns, especially lately and in the wedding industry. Many of my sweet couples have had to make the difficult decision to postpone their nuptials and celebrations to a later date. Katie and Matt were no exception. With their original wedding date of April 4th falling right in the middle of quarantine, they opted to move their ceremony to July 18th. And while it was a much more intimate gathering, their lakeside Baton Rouge wedding was still a beautiful affair. Dripping in sunflowers and golden light, Katie was an absolute dream. She radiated with joy and love, excited to finally commit herself publicly to the love of her life.

There were moments I had to wipe tears from my eyes as she listened to the warm wishes of her family who couldn’t make it, the beautiful ceremony script given by her brother in law, and the emotional speech eloquently given by her sister.

This pandemic has changed many things in our lives. It’s affected the way we live, the way we work, and the way we gather. And while some of these changes are hard adjustments to digest, I believe it’s truly opened our eyes to what matters most in life: quality time with the ones you love.

Katie and Matt, I’m truly overjoyed we finally got y’all to your happily ever after. It’s my absolute honor to have been able to document this special time in your lives! We’re wishing you both the best the world can offer and can’t wait to see what the future brings to you!
