It’s fall y’all! I just LOVE fall in the city! The cooler temps have taken a while to show up, but the lighting is just so glowy. And when you pair it with such a lovely couple like Ashley and Daniel it just makes for a perfect day!

We started at City Park. Since Ashley and Daniel’s ceremony was going to be right before sunset they opted for a first look so they could have natural-lit portraits. I love it when the couple decides to do one! The guys are overwhelmed with emotion and truthfully so am I. Daniel tried his hardest not to cry but a couple tears most definitely snuck out once he turned around. And can you blame him? Ashley was absolutely radiant! Her dress just flowed so perfectly and she wore the same earrings her mom did for her wedding many moons ago. The first 30 minutes were just so sentimental and we hadn’t even left the first location!

So after their tender first look in City Park we headed over to Audubon so I could start photographing the decor while Ashley and her daddy hopped on a street car to make their way to the ceremony.

You guys. It was absolutely gorgeous. Ashley’s dad, Travis, made the trellis they got married in front of. Then they hauled it 12 hours from Arkansas along with all the lanterns, chairs, candles and flowers. Her mom, Janna, pieced everything together beautifully! Everything just matched so perfectly that my detail-loving heart couldn’t handle it! Then I got the call the street car was arriving so I had to high-tail it to St. Charles and catch them getting off. Another absolutely gorgeous moment. It was just so New Orleans!

The ceremony started shortly after and it was just so sweet. A violinist serenaded them down the aisle where Ashley met her groom, and the tears flowed all over again. They exchanged their sweet vows and lovely rings and then did a wine box ceremony. They wrote letters to each other and placed them in a box with a bottle of wine. They nailed the lid shut and vowed they wouldn’t open it until their 5th anniversary. Can we say romantic?

Below are some of my favorites from the day! If I could blog every last shot I would because I just loved them all.

Congratulations, Ashley and Daniel! Your day was absolutely gorgeous and I’m so honored I got to be the one to capture it! Wishing you two all the best in the years to come!
